Wimbledon Zumba Fitness Party. Have a Blast at our Wimbledon Zumba Fitness for all
Zumba is a world wide fitness movement Latin and international music based which is a meld of slow and fast rhythms that sculpt and tone the Zumba dancer and inspire fun. Wimbledon Zumba classes affect pupils physically, emotionally and mentally, enhancing self image and self-confidence. Blending stimulating music with fitness dance combos that yield high energy output. Incorporating an aerobic fitness element using both cardiovascular training, muscle toning, resistance training and interval training.
Zumba originated with Alberto Beto Perez who in 1986 made one of the eventful mistakes ever which would spawn a global movement. Know popularly as Beto in the Zumba fitness dance family, he was located in Cali, Columbia and was an aerobics fitness instructor having formerly been a dance teacher and dance choreographer. One day he forgot to bring his music with him and found himself improvising the class. The only music he could find was latin music and thus was born the worldwide global phenomenon where dancers want to use more intensity in their fitness moves. Exciting, dynamic, exhilarating and effective, Zumba fitness dancing at Wimbledon Fitness and Zumba dances away the stress and is fun.
When in 2001 Beto went into partnership with Alberto Perlman and Alberto Aghion it would become world famous as the Zumba fitness movement and could be identified eventually with the single word Zumba. Each class is sometimes called a Zumba Fitness Party because it is a feel happy workout in which participants want to keep coming for more.
Beto's improvised first class was so successful that his students wanted nothing but Zumba. Soon his classes were packed out and following a radio interview two enterprising business men bankrolled Beto so his humble first class was attracting more and more attention. Zumba is now a company operating from Miami known as Zumba Fitness and has an estimated 15 million students across 186 countries.
The great thing at Wimbledon Fitness and Zumba is you need no experience so both dancers and non-dancers can come to classes. The party like vibe welcomes everyone. invigorates and is exciting. You will find Zumba classes at Wimbledon Fitness and Zumba a blast as you will be vigorously doing fitness training and so engrossed in the music you will hardly know. Zumba Fitness Party at Wimbledon is different as the Zumba formulae makes steps and routines unique. Even if you feel you are not fit the Zumba Wimbledon Fitness class is easy and also very effective for cardio and sculpting training. It is a positive experience for all.
Zumba is so successful partly because it is both fun and health conscious plus yields long term health benefits and positive self image. A typical Zumba class starts with a nine minute warm up in which the cardio rate is gradually increased and there is some body stretching incorporated into the initial routine. There follows a range of fitness dance routines based around various rhythms. The Zumba steps you will learn at Wimbledon Fitness and Zumba include body sculpting which aims to impact core, abdominals, glutes, arms, legs and our most important organ the heart.
However Zumba has four base rhythms around which the whole wellness and fitness regime is built. These are Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton and Cumbia. These are red hot Latin dance rhythms which invoke passion, involvement and dance joy. Zumba instructors study these rhythms for their basic training course. Having done so they can continue to study further and become licensed to teach more rhythms. Zumba promotes itself worldwide with many international presentations.
On the professional Zumba website there are more than 100 world rhythms. Local instructors all over the world are encouraged to submit their own regional rhythms to the Zumba family of world rhythms.
My name is Paul Sandwell and I am a Zumba instructor in the Wimbledon, London, UK region. I have studied the Zumba Basic One course and I have extended my Zumba study to Zumba Two, Zumba Three, Zumba Toning, Zumba Kids and Zumba Gold. The rhythms I currently teach in my Zumba Fitness adult classes are Salsa, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Merengue, Quebradita a Mexican rhythm, Mambo fusion, Bhangra, Salsa Choke, Flamenco, Bollywood and more. In Zumba Gold which is a slightly slowed down and more paced version of Zumba for the over 60's I have Zumba Gold rhythms like Belly Dance, Argentine Tango, Broadway, Swing, Cha Cha Cha, Flamenco in addition to Zumba Salsa, Merengue and Cumbia.
What I like about Zumba is that although it is very steeped in fitness with an emphasise on health and wellbeing, it still has dance content with some stretching exercises at the beginning in the warm up and at the end in the cooldown. At different stages of the class the heart beat goes up and down.
The Warm Up obviously is designed to slowly raise the heartbeat and cardio load and this progressive increase in cardio fitness continues until about the last two or three choreographed fitness routines when the cardio heart rate is then progressively lowered with slightly slower rhythms and less cardio demand.
The class is then concluded at the end with hardly any movement in the Cooldown to allow us to return to a normal everyday pace of life. Wimbledon Zumba classes are for all and are not intimidating at all but friendly and relaxing with the aim of promoting positive self images for everyone who attends.
We are non-discriminating of age, sex, appearance, health problems. Attending Zumba classes will begin the process of re-shaping your body. With accompanying well balanced nutrition on your part, Zumba can be part of a weight loss programme with high caloric burn. This caloric burn will vary from person to person as we are all different.
How would I summarise Fitness and Wellbeing in Zumba Mode. Pulsating, joyful and satisfying. If you have not tried a Zumba Fitness class before I would highly recommend you do so. Wishing you your best in your Zumba Journey.

Physiological Benefits of Fitness Classes.
Flexibility enhances joint ROM(Range of Motion) and joint mobility. Muscles become more flexible increasing their elasticity. Muscle Fitness incorporates muscle strength exercising to your maximum and muscle endurance whereby muscle contracts for a specified amount of time. Muscular endurance and strength training are normally Anaerobic in nature signifying the exerciser is training to over 85% of their maximum heart rate. Cardio-respiratory or Aerobic Work. This is where the heart is operating from 60-85% of its maximum capacity. Aerobic exercise can be maintained over a longer period during the class than Anaerobic activity as muscles are fired by oxygen consumption.
Cardio enhances blood circulation, makes the heart muscle stronger, increases metabolic rate, make contribute to reducing chance of heart disease, lowers cholesterol levels and can lead to better resting heart rate. Muscular Training can improve stance, lead to stronger muscle resistance against injuries, increases density of bones and increases strength of muscles. More flexibility helps us have less muscle soreness post class, great ROM and hopefully less chance of injury. Cardio respiratory aerobic and anaerobic workout training enables fat burning and muscle toning to take place. Due to the avoidance of a mid-class peek of intensity the whole class is high powered with recovery segments within some workout routines do Wimbledon Zumba classes could be interpreted as a form of intercal training with associated peaks of intensity training. Under this fitness formulae high intensity periods are shorter and lower intensity periods longer time wise. Wimbledon Zumba classes combine aerobic training with interval training so that the combined form takes the form of intermittent training or variable intensity training fitness workouts. Talk Test. If fitness students can talk easily during a Zumba class aerobic state they are in the correct fitness mode whereas if they are breathless and cannot talk they are working too hard. One measure that can be used is to use the Karvonen Method.
Wimbledon Zumba sessions inspire positive moods, are motivating, inspire passion, motivate for high energy outcomes, encourage class participants and are part of the journey to long term fitness outcomes and hopefully weigh loss and reduction of obesity for those coming to classes for this purpose. The Zumba formula fuses choreography, core steps and music. Wimbledon Zumba breaks choreography of songs down to segments such as Chorus, Verse, Musical Bridge, Tag which may occur in different orders throughout the song. In the introduction of a dance there may be a showing of a step occurring later in simplified form. In a verse this is the singing part of the song quite often and repeats maybe 2, 3 or 4 times. The chorus part is the same. There may be breaks or interludes of a small section of steps that only occur once and musical interludes. A song may have this form: introduction, verse, chorus, verse, break, chorus, musical interlude, verse, chorus, end. We as teachers can create a diagrammatic written form of the dance known as a Zumba Gram.
